Catching up with a Nikon FE-2 10/10 parade in chinatown NYC

I recently purchased a nikon FE2 and Nikon 50mm 1.4 lens for $165.00, craigslist rocks! great deal and the camera looks to be nearly unused. I bought a few rolls of student grade film ( what my budget allowed) and hit the streets of chinatown. I love the Nikon FE2, at first it was just another nikon that wasn’t an F2 or F3 but after a day of shooting with it, I quickly realized that I have underestimated this camera. The light meter is accurate and tested against my sekonic L758DR. Amazing! It feels solid in the hand and is a quick shooter. Its heavier than my Fuji X100s but so is my iphone with my bomb proof case. I am considering a second FE2 body as a back up. I had fun shooting my Leica M2 but since my 35 Cron had an issue, things feel generic when i use my 35 nokton. Until I save enough cash to fix my summicron, this Little nikon beast will have to do.  Tech specs – Aperture priority, light meter built in, uses old manual E or auto lenses not sure if the older non AI lenses will work, you get shutter speeds up to 1/4000th with a max syn speed of 250 for flash. body is solid and built like a tank!  here are some sample photos. Everything shot with Nikon Fe2 and 50mm 1.4 nikon lens and Kentmere 400 negative black and white print film.
